I acquired my first Bearded Collie in 1990. Maggie, (Can/Am Ch. Cameron Cairngorm) pictured above at age 15 changed my life in many ways. I became interested in showing and subsequently in breeding. Maggie excelled in the show ring and became a wonderful ambassador for the breed. Maggie lived to the age of 17 1/2. She was one in a million and my heart still aches for her. Maggie, her daughter Moira (Ch. Lochcairn Wistful Breeze), and I retired to Mazinaw Lake in Eastern Ontario in 1999.  Moira  provided me with Ellie (Ch. Lochcairn Lady Ravenscraig). I bought a lovely puppy, Briagha (Can/Am Ch Dunhill Satisfaction), from Dunhill Beardies in September, 2008. We moved from Mazinaw lake in the fall of 2013. We were lucky to find a new paradise on Amherst Island near Kingston, Ontario. The next Beardie to join our family was Isla  (Ch Cameron Lochcairn Amherst Lass). She moved in with us in May of 2017.  I kept a female puppy, Mazie (Lochcairn Dreams Do Come True), out of Isla's first litter born April 17/20. She was one of 6 beautiful puppies Isla had with Briagha's son McGinn, (Ch. Dunhill Irish Lad at Lochcairn). Mazie and her litter mates have brought us all great joy in the middle of this terrible Pandemic.
