Can/Am Ch. Dunhill Satisfaction

Briagha, Can/Am Ch. Dunhill Satisfaction ROM

Briagha joined us at Lochcairn in September 2008.  She came from Kathy and Ray Harrington of Dunhill Beardies in Pennsylvania.  She has filled our days with lots of laughs.  She has to be the cuddliest Beardie I have ever met and everyone agrees with me.  She eagerly joined the other Beardies on hikes and dips in the lake. Briagha is one of those special dogs who talks to those who are petting her, it is a riot. She has passed this gift on to her offspring. It is so cute. She welcomed my new puppy Isla as if she was her mom.  She has taught her all the tricks including enjoying the lake, loving frisbees and sleeping in the closet. She is a true Queen.

Briagha crossed the Rainbow Bridge on March 4, 2023. She was 14 years and 8 months old. She was a class act until the very end. I will miss her forever.

Briagha's Show Career

Briagha started her Canadian show career on May 2nd, 2009 and on her second day out she went Best of Winners and Best Puppy in Breed.  She then went on to win the Puppy Herding Group. She finished her Championship a few shows later taking Best Of Breed, Best Puppy in Breed and Best Puppy in Herding Group.  She was  expertly groomed and shown by Jaimie St. Short.
                 News Flash On Briagha's Shows
Briagha continued her show career on August 13/09.
She went to the Bearded Collie Club Of Canada's National Specialty Show in Quebec. She won Best Of Opposite Sex. This was a wonderful accomplishment for such a young dog, she was thirteen months at the time.

                Another honor for Briagha
On August 11/10 at the Bearded Collie Club of Canada's Annual Awards Banquet, Briagha was awarded the honor of being the  Top B.O.S.  (Best of Opposite Sex ) Bearded Collie in Canada for 2009. This was a wonderful honor and we couldn't be more proud of our special girl.  I have put a picture of Briagha at the 2010 BCCC National at the bottom of this page.

                          Briagha in the U.S.
Ray Harrington, Briagha's breeder, showed her to her U.S. Championship. They started in Kansas on Sept. 29/10 and by Nov. 21/10 she had her championship. Ray took Briagha to the Regional Specialty in North Carolina where she finished her U.S. Championship. She got three majors on the same weekend.  It was quite the adventure and Briagha had a good time. I can not thank Ray enough for taking this journey with Briagha. She was expertly groomed and shown perfectly to her full potential.

You can see pictures of Briagha's first  and only litter in the photo album page on this website. We nicknamed them the Irish Trio since this litter of three were born on March 17/14. Watch for all three of these Dunhill by Lochcairn puppies in the conformation, rally and other performance rings.
