Ch. Cameron Lochcairn Amherst Lass

Isla at 14 months. She won Reserve Winner's Bitch (RWB) in a highly competitive bitch class at the National Capital Bearded Collie Club's regional specialty show in Baltimore Maryland. This was her very first Championship show. She is pictured with her Breeder and my good friend Kelly Canham-Tonkin of Cameron Beardies. Thanks to the judge Althea Richardson from the U.K. for this wonderful win. It was Isla's 14 month birthday.

Isla is pictured with her breeder Kelly Canham-Tonkin. She is in the Group ring in Odessa ON. She went on to take a Herding Group 3. She got two Group 3s that weekend. This was her first Canadian Championship show she had been to one show in the U.S. She was 16 months at this show.

Isla, Can. Ch. Cameron-Lochcairn Amherst Lass

Isla was born on Feb. 20/17. She was welcomed to Lochcairn Bearded Collies on Amherst Island by Briagha and myself. She is a real sweetie.  Thanks Kelly for allowing me to give this very special girl her forever home.  She is a real cuddler and keeps us laughing. Isla started her show career in the Baby Puppy Class in June/17. Kelly and I took Isla to the All Breed Show in Odessa, Ontario.  Isla took Best Baby Puppy in Herding Group.

 Championship Shows

Show 1 - We took Isla to the National Capital Regional Bearded Collie Specialty show in Baltimore, Maryland in April 2018.  This was her first time in a Championship ring.  She won Reserve Winners Bitch in a highly competive class. It was her 14 month birthday.

Show 2 - Kelly and I took Isla to the Kingston and District Kennel Club show in Odessa ON in June 2018. She was the only Beardie there but she made her name in the Herding Group Ring. She took two Herding Group 3s.  This was the start of her Canadian points. We were so proud of her.

Show 3 - Her second Championship show in Canada. Isla went to the Bearded Collie Club of Canada's National show in Orono,ON.  in June, 2019. We were thrilled when she won Winners Bitch and earned the maximum points of 5. She had the same win the next day at the Ontario County Kennel Club show and earned the rest of the points she needed to get her Canadian Championship. This was quick, not in years but in shows. I don't have the official picture but Kelly took a picture of her relaxing in a lawn chair after the show.  Job well done Isla and Kelly!
